Method
Prep the Apples
- Wash and core 3 large apples (about 600 g total). Slice thin, about 3 mm thick, into rounds or half-moons.
- Toss the apple slices with 1 tsp lemon juice in a mixing bowl, turning gently to coat. This keeps them pale while you build the plate.
Make the Drizzle and Assemble
- In a small bowl, whisk together the almond butter, almond milk, honey, and cinnamon until smooth and pourable. Warm it for 10 seconds in the microwave if it's too thick to drizzle.
- Arrange the apple slices in an overlapping layer on a 13-inch / 33 cm serving platter, the way you'd fan out tortilla chips.
- Drizzle the almond butter mixture evenly over the apples.
- Scatter the toasted sliced almonds, mini chocolate chips, and shredded coconut over the top.
- Finish with a pinch of sea salt and serve right away, while the apples are still crisp.
Notes
- Slice apples no more than a few minutes before serving.
- Toss slices in lemon juice right away to slow browning.
- Warm almond butter drizzle briefly if it's too thick to pour.
- Toast almonds ahead of time and store them airtight for up to a week.
