Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy like almond, oat, or coconut
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger or ½ inch fresh ginger, grated
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup to taste
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil or ghee optional for creaminess
  • A splash of vanilla extract optional

Method

Step 1 – Warm the milk:
  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and set it on low heat. Let it warm gently without boiling.
Step 2 – Add the spices:
  1. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Keep stirring so everything mixes evenly.
Step 3 – Sweeten and enrich:
  1. Add honey or maple syrup and stir until dissolved. Add coconut oil or ghee if you’d like it extra creamy.
Step 4 – Blend (optional):
  1. For a frothy finish, pour the mixture into a blender and blend for 10–15 seconds.
Step 5 – Serve:
  1. Pour into a mug, top with a light sprinkle of cinnamon, and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh turmeric and ginger if you can — they give a brighter flavor and more health benefits.
  • Always include a small pinch of black pepper; it helps your body absorb turmeric’s nutrients better.
  • You can serve it cold as an iced golden milk latte during summer. Just chill it and pour over ice.
  • For a vegan version, use almond or oat milk and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • This latte is naturally caffeine-free and great before bedtime.
