Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh kale stems removed
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds optional
  • ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger optional

Method

  1. Prep Ingredients: Wash kale thoroughly and remove stems. Peel banana and cut into chunks.
  2. Add to Blender: Place kale first, then frozen pineapple, banana, and optional chia seeds or ginger.
  3. Pour Liquid: Add almond milk to the blender.
  4. Blend: Start on low speed and increase to high until smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste & Adjust: Add honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. If too thick, add a splash more milk.
  6. Serve: Pour into a tall glass and enjoy immediately. Optional: garnish with a small kale leaf or pineapple wedge.

Notes

  • Use baby kale if you want a smoother, less bitter taste.
  • Frozen pineapple keeps the smoothie cold and thick without needing ice.
  • Drink immediately for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can swap almond milk with oat milk, coconut milk, or yogurt for creamier texture.
