Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe papaya peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks optional for extra sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup yogurt or plant-based yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk or almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • A few ice cubes
Optional toppings: crushed nuts, extra chia seeds, coconut flakes

Method

  1. Peel and cube the papaya. Chop pineapple if using.
  2. Add papaya, pineapple, chia seeds, yogurt, and milk into a blender.
  3. Add honey or maple syrup if your fruits are not sweet enough.
  4. Blend on low first, then high, until smooth.
  5. Check consistency. Add milk if too thick or ice if too thin.
  6. Pour into a glass. Sprinkle with nuts, chia seeds, or coconut flakes if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, soak chia seeds for 5–10 minutes before blending.
  • Use ripe papaya for the best flavor. Under-ripe fruit can taste bland.
  • You can freeze papaya chunks in advance for a cold, creamy smoothie.
  • Optional add-ins: banana, mango, or a handful of nuts for extra creaminess.
