Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt optional for creaminess and protein
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup ice optional, for thicker texture
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut for topping optional
  • 2 –3 small pineapple chunks for garnish optional

Method

Add the liquids first
  1. Pour the coconut milk into your blender. This helps the blades move smoothly.
Add the fruit
  1. Add frozen pineapple chunks and the ripe banana.
Add the matcha
  1. Sprinkle the matcha powder into the blender.
Add yogurt (optional)
  1. If you want a thicker smoothie with extra protein, add the Greek yogurt.
Blend
  1. Blend everything on high for about 30–40 seconds until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust
  1. Taste the smoothie. Add honey or maple syrup if you want it a little sweeter.
Serve
  1. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass.
Garnish
  1. Top with shredded coconut and a few pineapple chunks if desired. Serve immediately while cold.

Notes

Use frozen pineapple for the best texture. It makes the smoothie thick and cold without needing too much ice.
If your pineapple is very sweet, you may not need honey or maple syrup.
For a dairy-free smoothie, skip the Greek yogurt or replace it with coconut yogurt.
If you want a lighter drink, replace half the coconut milk with coconut water.
For a stronger matcha flavor, add an extra 1/4 teaspoon of matcha powder.
Drink the smoothie right after blending. Smoothies taste best fresh and cold.
