Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • ½ cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
Optional: ¼ cup shredded mozzarella for cheesy centers

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix gently.
  3. Form meatballs: Use your hands or a tablespoon to shape the mixture into balls. Optional: place mozzarella inside for a cheesy center.
  4. Bake: Arrange meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake 18–20 minutes, until lightly browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Enjoy on their own, with marinara sauce, pasta, or roasted veggies.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the turkey mixture to keep meatballs tender.
  • You can swap mozzarella for extra Parmesan if you prefer.
  • Perfect for meal prep: store in the fridge for 3 days or freeze up to 3 months.
  • Add finely chopped spinach or kale for a “green turkey meatball” version.
