Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger optional

Method
 

  1. Add the frozen pineapple to your blender.
  2. Peel the banana and break it into pieces. Add it in.
  3. Pour in the coconut milk.
  4. Sprinkle in the spirulina powder.
  5. Add the grated ginger if using.
  6. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  7. Taste and adjust thickness with a little more milk if needed.
  8. Pour into a glass and drink right away.

Notes

If you’re new to spirulina, don’t add more than the amount listed. A little goes a long way. Frozen pineapple works best for flavor and texture. Drink it fresh—this smoothie tastes best right after blending.
