Heat oven to 175 C / 350 F.
Unwrap the brie and place it in a small cast iron skillet or shallow baking dish just big enough to hold it.
Score the top rind lightly in a crosshatch pattern with a paring knife so the jam soaks in.
Spread the fig jam evenly over the top of the brie.
Scatter the chopped walnuts over the jam.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the sides puff slightly and the center feels soft when pressed gently.
Remove from the oven and let it rest 5 minutes, the center will firm up just enough to hold a scoopable pool.
Drizzle with honey, scatter thyme leaves and a pinch of flaky salt, then serve immediately with baguette slices or crackers.
